Casual Elegant is the dining style of this newly opened Italian restaurant . Tenafly home owners & residents as well as  and nearby town residents will enjoy this new addition to the rich culinary scene in Tenafly.

Acanto specializes in authentic Italian cuisine with French and Greek influences.  The restaurant is owned by its chef Erminio Conte.

Conte, a native of Italy, came to the United States 10 years ago.  He worked in New York City as executive chef for fine dining restaurants, including Barolo, Acqua Pazza, Cellini, and Fiorini. Acanto Ristorante is his own venture and is named after the Acanto flower (acanthus in English), common in Italy.
