The Board of Education agreed to pursue a venture to make one of its public school buildings the site of a Bergen Community College satellite campus.
Kaye Walter, president of Bergen Community College, said she and her staff work closely with Englewood, one of the larger feeder school districts for the college.
“I’m excited because we will be coming back to Englewood resuming what took place many, many years ago,” said Ursula Daniels a professor of education and psychology at Bergen Community College.
“If the district has some facilities that the community is paying for, and if for little to no incremental cost the community can get benefit from those facilities outside of the school day, I do indeed think it is a win-win,” said Pruitt.
If the plan is to go forward it could also greatly benefit neighboring communities such as Tenafly, Clsoter, Cresskill and Demarest
