Extensive damage was caused to the residence located at 87 Hoover Drive on Cresskill’s East Hill when a fire broke out on February 9th around 9:30 pm. Nobody was in the 12,000 square-foot home during the fire, and the fire took about an hour and a half to be put out. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. This quick response of the fire departments of Cresskill, Demarest, Tenafly and Dumont illustrates the importance of fire alarms that alerted the fire department to the location.
