Two dozen portraits are among the paintings by Dr. Wilma Bulkin Siegel on display through April 26 on the walls of the Waltuch Art Gallery on the second floor of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly.
“It started seven or eight years ago when I met the head of the Jewish Federation in Broward County, which is where Fort Lauderdale is,” explained Bulkin Siegel, a retired oncologist. “He was telling me about how many indigent Holocaust survivors there were and I thought, maybe through my art I could get this story out.”
