Tenafly Budget For 2015 Adopted

A Tenafly budget that raises the municipal tax bill to $4,536, a $22 increase from 2014, on homes assessed at $785,000 was approved by the Tenafly mayor and council on April 28th.

The total budget for 2015 is $27,623,800.The total tax levy for the 2015 is $22,432,337, up $192,500 from 2014, which was $22,240,837.

The final budget presentation outlined goals for the municipality when creating the budget. Among those goals is “pursuing opportunities for shared services when possible.”
Mayor Peter Rustin said one of the borough’s biggest shared services partners is the Tenafly School District.
