According to unofficial results Tenafly democrats Basch and Park won with 1,584 and 1,713 votes respectively. Kerge and Callahan secured 1,433 and 1,474 votes in Tuesday’s race .
While incumbent Republican governor Chris Christie was re-elected for a second term, Tenafly residents decided in favor of the democrat councilman.
Basch has lived in Tenafly with his family for 14 years. As a son of Holocaust survivors, he believes that serving the community is a duty. He is a member of the Board of Directors of “Comedy Cures” – a local charity.
Park has lived in the borough for 23 years and currently works with Bergen County Freeholder Tracy Zur
