Tenafly Public Library is undergoing remodeling

The Tenafly Public Library is undergoing remodeling over the next few months. The remodeling includes

 Painting the interior public areas of the Library

• Re-carpeting the public areas of the Library
• Installation of a new combined Public Service Desk incorporating both Circulation and Reference functions and staff members.
• The removal of the old Reference Desk
• There will also be some adjustments to shelving and some minor relocation of materials.

Some inconveniences are to expected from time to time in terms of odors, noise, closed areas and temporary relocation of materials. 

Interior painting is beginning this week and will continue for a few weeks. Rooms will be closed off and materials relocated as needed to accommodate this work. There is no set  date for carpet installation but this will also necessitate similar adjustments. The new desk will be installed in approximately three months, the exact date is yet to be determined.

All of the above updates will result in an improved appearance and improved library service to the Tenafly community.
