Tenafly theater To Remain Open

According to The Record reporter Deena Yellin, “the borough’s sole movie theater will remain open for business, the theater owners said Friday, nullifying rumors that leasing decisions related to the property would result in the theater’s closing.”

Rumors about Bow Tie Cineams putting the properties in Tenafly &  in Bergenfield for sale were circulating since March 2015 when the theater operator hired CBRE Group Inc’s retail division in March to market the Tenafly property as well as the Bergenfield Cinema.

The latest report according to The Record  is that “The theater is not for sale. We are just leasing the empty retail spaces in that building,” said Joe Masher, chief operating officer of Bow Tie Cinemas.

Tenafly residents that were apprehensive about the possibility of seeing the landmark theater going away are now relieved…
